Question:

I am having a preliminary look at some options to see if we can replace some of our connectors with quick release fittings to speed up assembly/disassembly.

For a system similar to the attached image from your brochure, i.e. for a vertical fitting, what is the maximum weight that one of your fasteners can support?
vertical fittings to speed up assembly/disassembly

Answer:

If you use Quarter-Turn Clamps QCTH, the weight of the part should be less than the clamping force of QCTH.
for instance: 60N clamping force, means your weight should be less then 6kg

If the weight becomes bigger, there will be the gap between the 2 plates because clamping force of QCTH is made by the inner spring.

On the other hand, Knob-Locking Clamps QCWE can support bigger load without gap thanks to its clamping mechanism.

The clamping force is less than QCTH, but the balls contact the tapered surface of the receptacle.

The customer needs to choose the proper type depending on his application.

It is important to know what is the critical for him.
