Dear customer,
Since 1st of January 2018 there is a new law that is now enforced regarding the toxic use of cadmium plating on the camloc parts.
We have a very good alternative that is zinc plating and that is even better in corrosion resistance.
you will have to change the drawings to reflect these new part numbers.
there is a way to still get cadmium plated part, but then we need to know from the moment of your enquiry:
- the application, where will the fastener be used
- the end-user: who is the final customer
- the military program and it's number
- the final country of destination
- a letter stating why you absolutely need the parts to be cadmium plated: there needs to be a technical reason!
we appreciate your enquiry, but 99% of all enquiries, will be better of to use now the standard zinc plating, thus avoiding to answer such questions. furthermore, we would emphasize that you have to transfer anyway: as the final assembly where these products would be used, would not be allowed to sell to Europe, California and a number of other states in the USA.
Anemo can help you in the transition, we will suggest the correct part for your application.
example of an old cadmium plated part = 4002-14W should be transitioned to turnlock part number HGRTLW-14Z with the mandatory obligation to use also retaining washer MHSWSS
I appreciate your
