Do stop and stay camloc gas springs provide a fixed force?

Question: I am looking at your Stop & Stay gas spring and I was wondering they provide a constant force throughout their stroke or not. If not, what is the minimum and maximum force they provide? I am interested in a >= 200 mm stroke, 40 lb force.   Answer: “The spring force increases over the compression stroke of the spring. The extended force is the force quoted for the spring and the closed force will be higher by a factor. The factor depends on the spring the customer is using, but is typically about 1.3. Using a stop and stay will reduce the effective force of the spring but will still allow the spring to increase in force”.
