The 3352PTC-01 is a fantastic tool and can always be tweeked in order to properly install your keenserts.

See here a picture of kees that are not perfect installed (did not went through the mother material)

There are multiple reasons that might cause this issue.

One of the most critical things you need to know is that if you change lot number of keenserts, you need to do as if you are installing completely new keenserts.

First check, the kees of the keensert should not touch the driver

The recommended distance is 1.25mm to1.75mm , you should check this, don't forget the moment you push too hard on the keensert, the mandrel will start to rotate, this happens because the tool rotates on the keensert, so it's important that you avoid any personal injury when pressing against the keensert!

Secondly you should check the force adjustment

The fact is that you should always install the keensert with the lowest force possible!!! There is a little adjustment screw for the force, you should slowly increase the pressure, enabling a higher installation force with every new batch so that the keensert installs just right. The thing is that the keensert will install by adjusting to a higher force, but then this might cause the issue as shown on the above picture, it looks like the kees on the right side look like it has been installed with too much force.
You should also be aware, that when you increase the pressure to a high level, the tool will wear and tear quickly, the 3352PTC-01 tool will bear unnecessary stress on all parts.

For more information on force adjustment, see chapter 3.2 of the booklet that is supplied together with the tool.
