How do quarter turns get painted?

The normal production process for a quarter turns is as follows: 1)      The stud is cold stamped. 2)      The part gets a zinc treatment as protection against corrosion 3)      The part gets a sealing treatment to strengthen the zinc connection to the material, this prevents the zinc plating to detach. 4)      The stud assembly gets assembled (adding of the cross pin (and washer) ) When a customer requires the head of the stud to be painted, the regular production process is interrupted after step 3 to have the stud painted. The production process for painted quarter turns is as follows: 1)      The stud is cold stamped. 2)      The part gets a zinc treatment as protection against corrosion 3)      The part gets a sealing treatment to strengthen the zinc connection to the material, this prevents the zinc plating to detach. 4)      The stud head gets painted 5)      The part gets another sealing treatment to protect the painting, this also ensures a nice finish. 6)      The stud assembly gets assembled (adding of the cross pin (and washer) )
