How does the broaching tool look like?

The Broach tools consist of 4 parts:

the Head, the Case, the Pilot, and the Blades.

How many Blades depend mostly on which inserts need to be installed, so either 2 or 4 blades.

Regarding the materials:

1) The Head is made out of steel, with a coating of Black Oxide

2) The Case is made out of carbon steel, with a cadmium plating

3) The Pilot is made out of steel, with a coating of Black Oxide

4) The Blades are made out of steel

Broach tools are used to pre-broach the holes in hard materials where you need to install your inserts.
