Is it possible to have a waterproof assembly of the 50F-900N series?

Answer:

There are already gaskets available in multiple series, such as the 2600F, D4002 and the 991F series. Now there are also gaskets available for the 50F-900N series: the gasket M3240W01-1K.

The biggest advantage of the 50F-900N assembly is the fast installation thanks to the receptacles which are clipped-on or snapped-in and the plastic retaining washer.

The adding of the gasket M3240W01-1K also takes no time at all.

How to install the assembly with the gasket:

1. To figure out which stud length you need, you'll need to add 1 (the gasket has approx 1mm thickness) to G (total panel thickness).

   

   G = P + 1

   G = P + 1.2 + 1

   G = P + F + X + 1 -0.8 (Xmin = 0.8)

   G = P + F + X + 1 + 0.4 (Xmin = 0.8)

2. Prepare all the required parts for the assembly: the stud, receptacle, retaining washer 50W204-1K and the gasket M3240W01-1K.

   

3. Place the gasket M3240W01-1K on the stud.

   

   

4. Place the stud through the panel. When the gasket reaches the panel,
   install the plastic retaining washer 50W204-01K on the other side of the
   panel.

   

5. The only thing left to do is place the two panels on eachother and fix the assembly.
