L'axe à tête plastique étoilée 991S04 à un diamètre maximum de 63mm pour avoir une meilleure utilisation sans outil du quart de tour. L'axe à tête plastique étoilée 991S04 à une hauteur maximum de 46mm lorsqu'il est fixé au réceptacle. La matière de l'axe à tête plastique étoilée 991S04 est en acier zingué pour la partie métalique et en plastique noir pour la poignée. Dans la série 991F, il existe des variances qui sont différentes des pièces standards. Une de ces variances est la version 1655S01-2AGV.

Les axes 1655S01-2AGV sont de la même taille que 991F mais ont une rondelle de 3mm d'épaisseur et 30mm de diamètre supplémentaire. Cette rondelle permet de ne pas abimer la surface de la partie à fixer. Si celle-ci est fine, elle ne sera pas déformé par les rondelles Belleville.

The part that we offer needs a slightly smaller tool to open the fastener.
Ours measure 13mm ; yours measure 9/16.
(if you want we can have that made with 9/16 but then parts will be supplied without certs, as they are then manufactured by our subcontractor)

The only thing that is not mentioned on your drawings is the material.  I do think however that yours are cadmium plated. Ours are steel zinc plated or stainless steel.

A sealing stud assembly is equipped with a buffer plate and rubber gasket.
The buffer plate is used to protect the rubber gasket, while the gasket closes off the mounting hole to seal the application.

The 91F series offers these sealing stud assemblies, however these are not RoHS conform.
That is why we strongly recommend to switch to the new 991F series.
This series offers the possibility to create your own sealing stud assembly, by adding a buffer plate and rubber gasket to the standard 991F stud assembly.

By simply attaching the buffer plate 991W03-1BP and rubber gasket 991S17-1K to the stud assembly you are able to create the sealing stud assembly.

Agencer les sièges d'une salle de cinéma ou auditorium avec la série 991F

De plus en plus les salles de cinéma deviennent polivalente ou alors les salles polyvalentes peuvent se transformer en salle de cinéma ou d'auditorium.

Pour se faire les sièges doivent être monté et démonté rapidement. Le moyen le plus rapide d'agencer une salle de cinéma est de fixer les sièges avec les quarts de tour. Et il faut utiliser la série la plus lourde, soit la série 991F. Cette série garantie l'immobilité du siège quand une personne s'assoie dessus et même quand il bouge.

Pour le montage c'est assez simple, le réceptacle doit être fixé  au sol grâce à une platine qui elle même ne doit pas dépasser pour éviter qu'une fois le siège démonté de se prendre les pieds dedans.

Pour l'axe, vaut mieux utiliser une forme de tête hexagonale fendue. Cette forme a un faible encombrement et ne permets à une personne quelconque d'enlever le siège elle même.

Camloc a dévellopé un nouvel axe de quart de tour pour la série forte 991F (charge en traction 10000N), cette axe à tolérance de serrage élargie est dédié à l'application des véhicules poids lourds (Camion, Bus, etc.. ).

Des clients de Camloc  dans le domaine du transport routier recherchaient une solution au problème de la fixation de matériaux tendres tels que les caches en plastique laminé et moulé utilisés sur les structures de climatisation et les carters insonorisantes des poids lourds et des bus.

Les attentes des clients concernant le quart de tour à  plage de serrage élargie étaient précises car ces matériaux ont, des tolérances d'épaisseurs plus élevées, le besoin d'assembler ces matériaux sans indentation/dommage majeur et la capacité à supporter d'importantes charges ainsi que des niveaux élevés de vibration.

Le nouvel axe quart de tour Camloc 991F   apporte la solution car il possède une rondelle ressort à disque conique supplémentaire permettant de supporter des plages de serrage plus grandes (de 0,76 mm de la version standard à 1,5 mm sur la nouvelle version). De plus, le quart de tour modifié est doté d'une rondelle plus grande, par rapport à celle de la version 991F standard, qui augmente la distribution de la force de serrage sur une superficie plus importante, éliminant ainsi le risque d'indentation prononcée. Par ailleurs, en standard sur toute la série 991F, les versions modifiées ont une excellente capacité à supporter les charges dynamiques élevées et à résister à de fortes vibrations.

Camloc has developed a modified version of its heavy-duty (10kN working load) 991F quarter-turn series; a version designed specifically for the needs of the commercial vehicles industry.

Camloc’s vehicle customers required a solution to face the challenges of fixing softer materials such as; laminated or injection moulded plastic covers, which are used for air conditioning superstructures, and noise encapsulations of heavy trucks and buses.

requirements for the modified quarter-turn included the need for: an extended grip range as these materials, as per above, have higher thickness tolerances, the need to fasten these materials together without severe indentation/damage, and the ability to handle high dynamic loads and significant levels of vibration.

The newly modified Camloc 991F quarter-turn provided the solution as it features an extra coned-disc spring, so as to accommodate larger clamp ranges (standard version’s 0.76mm value increased to 1.5mm on modified version).

In addition, the modified quarter-turn features a larger washer, in comparison to the standard 991F version, which increases the dispersion of the clamping force to a wider area hence eradicating severe indentation. Furthermore, as standard with all of the 991F series, the modified versions ability to handle high dynamic loads and resistance to vibration is of a high-quality.

The receptacle 991R18-2AGV can be used as a side mount receptacle.  It's a quite expensive part, since it includes a very thick plate and that needs to be bent.  Due to it's thickness we need to produce also at big minimum quantities, so only if you would require more then 10000 pieces, we can change something.

How does the camloc partnumber EM1244-xx look like?

How does the camloc partnumber EM1244-xx look like?

 

 

The EM1244-xx is a special version of the camloc 991F series studs. The "xx" in the partnumber stands for the length number. This special camloc stud has the following characteristics:

  • the stud is made of stainless steel
  • it contains two extra elements:
    • an aluminium spacer
    • a thick elastomere washer
  • the stud has a square head with a slot **

 

How to select the correct length number?

To select the correct length number, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Determine what the total thickness G of your application is. (click)
  2. Select the length number of a standard 991F stud. (click)
  3. Add 8 to the standard length number to obtain the EM1244-xx length number.
  4. Replace the "xx" in the part number EM1244-xx by the length number you have obtained as a result of step 3.

 

Example:

  1. Your total thickness G is 8,0 mm.
  2. Looking at the table of the standard length numbers, you should a standard 991F series stud with length number 10.
  3. Then you add 8 to this number 10 to obtain the length number 18 for the EM1244-xx stud
  4. Replacing the xx with number 18 gives us the correct part number EM1244-18 .

What's the difference between 991S01-*-1AGV and 91S2-*

What's the difference between 991S01-*-1AGV and 91S2-*

91S2-* is made of steel cadmium plated and has a hex head 9/16"

991S01-*-1AGV is made of steel zinc plated RoHS conform CrVI free and has a hex head for a key 13mm

We can for you produce all 991s01-*-1AGV versions with a 9/16" head headstyle ; we can have them also made in yellow zinc plating that is RoHS conform

However, if you can and need quick stock availability, you can opt to install a metric hex head on the same spot where you have a 9/16" head stud as parts are interchangeable, it's just the head style & plating that is different

If you can't walk away from cadmium plating, please consider the stainless steel version 991S01-*-1BP

The standard stud length numbers are: 4 - 20 . The catalogue only lists the not-standard lenghts until length number 50.

Is it possible to have any studs longer than length number 50?

YES! The table here-under shows you how to select the correct stud length number up until length number 100.

Can I order any quantity of those long studs?

The long Camloc studs are normally only available starting from a quantity of 2000 pieces. However we advise you to contact us for any length. We possibly already have a customer that uses the same length number as you require. This could mean that your length is available in smaller quantities.

How to install retaining washers 4002-SW-SS , 2600-SW , 5S3-2 and 991W02-1BP?

The installation is done using a nose pliers tool.

1) place retaining ring on stud with slot aligned over left side of cross pin as shown on figure

2) snap retaining ring under cross pin using needle nose pliers then rotate retaining ring 180° until ring is over right side of cross pin as shown on figures 2 and 3

3) To complete installation, snap retaining ring over the right side of cross pin

4) completed installation is shown in figure 4

The slotted retaining washer provides the strongest way of securing a stud.  However it's labour intensive, so the moment you need to install more then 200 pieces, please look into the camloc catalogue for other alternatives.  There exist also slotted plastic retaining washers that can easily be installed with hand.
