What are Camloc retainers used for?

Camloc retainers are used to lock the quarter turn solution in position. Each Camloc quarter Turn family has it own Camloc retainers. These Camloc retainers can come in different shapes according to your requirements. Most of the Camloc retainers are made in Stainless Steel. Some of the Camloc retainers are available in other materials. There are 2 different kind of Camloc retainers. The first type of Camloc retainer is used to secure the stud in the panel, thus preventing panel drop out when the quarter turn is not closed. The second type of Camloc retainer is only used in the D4002 series.  Here the retainer is used to secure the grommet into place, allowing the stud to be installed.
