Spring Loaded 1/4 turn fasteners are quick connect disconnect fasteners, or also quick release fasteners.  Spring Loaded 1/4 turn fasteners give you quick access to panels by just doing a quarter turn.

Typically they consist of 3 components: a receptacle, a stud and a retaining washer ; the spring load is typically in the stud, but can also be in the receptacle.
