What is the difference in distance between the two plates when they are put together and not clamped vs when they are clamped with a QCTHS clamp?

The mechanism of QCTHS clamps is different from that of other Quarter-Turn Clamps (QCTH & QCTHA).

The shank of QCTHS is received by the ball inside the receptacle, so if the weight of the plate & fixtures is light, there will be a clearance between the two plates when they are not clamped.

According to calculations, when the plates are unclamped, the maximum clearance between the two plates is "0.45mm".

However, the distance between the two plates will be "0" if a force exceeding approx. 117N is applied to QCTHS clamp & receptacle even thought these plates are unclamped.

(Approx. 117N is calculated load.  Please note that the actual value might be differ.)

When the plates are clamped, the distance between the two plates is "0".
