What do you mean with swaging angle and how to prepare the panel?

Grommet 2383GF14-**BP needs a counersink hole of 140°.

According to which tool you wish to use, you need to also countersink the other side of your panel.

This is to swage the grommet so it will remain in place.

Either 30 degrees on each side which is a total of 60 degrees,

or 45 degrees on each side which is a total of 90 degrees.

When using the total of 60 degrees, you require the tool 2383HT01-1AY.  (this tool is only used when installing preinstalled studnut's in grommet)

This is used for all panels that re not carbon fibre, such as Aluminium panels.

If you prefer the 90 degrees, you require the tool 2383HT01-2AY, this is used for all panels that are not carbon fibre, such as Aluminium.

To swage grommet 2383GF15-1BP,  which is a flat grommet, that is used to install them in carbon fibre

you will need the swaging tool 2383HT02-1AY.

Grommet 2383GF15-1BP also needs a countersink hole of 140° to install.

But it doesn't need the other side of the panel to be countersunk.

The grommet 2383GF15-1BP swages the full 90° (total=180°).  The grommet is always installed with a washer, to make sure that the carbon fibre panel is not damaged due to forces that are applied. the so called delimination of the panel

take care: when installing the grommet, this is always done together
