Which kind of washers are available for the 2700 series?

In the 2700 Series, there are 2 ways to retain the stud.

• With washer, floating retention
• With washer, fixed spring cup retention

When retaining the stud by floating retention, the washer 2600-SW is to be used.
The stud is not fixed in position, but the washer prevents the stud to drop from the panel.

2700 series - floating stud retention

When retaining the stud by fixed spring cup retention, there are 2 different designs of washers available.

• Domed washer                 V27W01-1AN  (27S5-1)
• Flat washer                      V2600-LW-7

The domed washer is to be used on a dimpled surface (as shown on the left picture).
The domed washer is designed to close snuggly around the dimple, to ensure perfect grip on the stud cup.

NOTE:
When using this washer on a flat surface, the washer does not rest on the panel and is not retaining the stud properly. Due to this, the stud loosens after several operations.

The flat washer is to be used on a flat surface (as shown on the right picture).
The flat washer is designed to close snuggly against the flat surface, to ensure perfect grip on the stud cup.

ALSO NOTE:
When using this washer on a dimpled surface the washer does not rest on the panel and is not retaining the stud properly. Due to this, the stud beceomes loose after several operations.
