In order to know which part number you need to take for parts 715S12-*-*BP or 716S12-*-*BP, you only need your panel thickness.
Here the first example in order to find the asterisks for the 715F series:
- The Length-no. of stud (*)
For the length-no. select acc. the first table: Panel thickness „P“ =1,25mm
for P 0,50 - 1,25 = Length-no: 05 (715S12-05-#BP)
or
for P 1,25 – 2,00 = Length-no: 06 (715S12-06-#BP)
then your P is in “transition area” and both parts fulfill the function!
- Type of stud (#)
For type select acc. the second table where the details of the stud are displayed: “Panel thickness P“ =1,25mm too
for P 1,0 - 1,5 = Part-no. 715S12-*-2BP (* has been selected above…)
So you'll need either 715S12-05-2BP or 715S12-06-2BP which will both work in this example.
Note that if your Panel thickness is above 2mm, you will need to counterbore your panel to a max thickness of 2mm, and the counterbore needs a diameter of 8mm, while the hole where the stud is inserted needs a hole of 6.3mm.
Spring Clip (Receptacle)
The part-no. only depends from Frame thickness F only, for example 2,25 mm (= between 2,0 - 2,5) means part number 715R02-4BP
Next is the second example to find the asterisks for the 716F series:
- The Length-no. of stud (*)
For the length-no. select acc. the first table: Panel thickness „P“ =3,0mm
for P 2,0 – 3,0 = Length-no: 03 (716S12-03-#BP)
or
for P 3,0 – 4,0 = Length-no: 04 (716S12-04-#BP)
then your P is in “transition area” and both parts fulfill the function!
- Type of stud (#)
For type select acc. the second table (page M-2): “Panel thickness P“ =3,0mm too
for P 2,5 – 3,0 = Part-no. 716S12-*-5BP (* has been selected above…)
Spring Clip (Receptacle)
The part-no. only depends from Frame thickness F only, for example 2,7mm (= between 2,5 – 3,0)
