as you will not have a spring force incorporated in your quarter turn system.

but there are customers that absolutely want to use them together.


customer asked to use 50E8-32G together with V50R1-1-1BP

The extra length can be compensated by adding extra plastic retaining
washer 50W204-01K

One washer measures 1 mm thick,

50E8-38AGV contains 3 belleville washers, these add already thickness of

And since the washers jump per 0.6mm to a new length number.

You will need to find a way to extra compensate the 0.6mm

The washer 50W204-01K can help you reach the tipping point,

Since it’s 1mm thick, but small in diameter, it will fit a little bit
inside the Belleville, making it less thick, but helping you to reach the 0.6mm

So my advise would be to buy also some extra plastic washers, and
dependant on your panel thicknesses, you will need to add or put a washer less.

The 50E98 series has been specially developed for the automotive industry.

it's a quarter turn stud with a hex head with an extra washer with diameter 20mm and a strength of 900 Newton
The issue that it wants to resolve is when using panels that are thin or panels that may not be damaged an extra metal washer is added so that the force that the stud of the quarter turn system is executing on the panel is spread better.

an option that is possible with these series is that you can remove the plastic slotted washer, then the grip range is increased!

Take care, when using a different receptacle another stud part number should be used.  (The formula is also different then in the catalog)

since this quarter turn stud does not use a grommet, itt's mandatory to use also a retaining washer.
typically 4002-SW-SS is used and 50E2-3BP when needing to install a lot of parts.

 

 

There exist different standard products, if you want to specify new parts, we recommend the use of the AGV part numbers as these are ROHS compliant.
Take care: the S length has a tolerance of +/- 0,5mm , so always verify by forwarding to us the plate thickness of your application and which receptacle you use.

Il y a deux gammes de quart de tour dans la série 50F :

  • 50F-900N
  • 50F-3700N

Pour que l'effet quart de tour fonctionne, il faut qu'il y est obligatoirement un effet ressort. Chaque gamme ou sous-série a des axes et réceptacles qui leurs sont propres. Dans la série 900N, c'est le réeptacle qui provoque l'action de ressort alors que dans la série 3700N, c'est les rondelles bellevilles montés sur l'axe.  S'il n'y a pas, ou 2 fois cette action ressort, le quart de tour ne fonctionnera pas ou alors ne tiendra pas.

Un de nos clients travaillant dans le secteur nucléaire utilise pourtant un axe de la série 50F-3700N et un réceptacle encliquetable de la série 900N.

Cela est uniquement possible si l'épaisseur de la tôle ne permet plus au réceptacle d'être élastique. Notre client a effectué des tests au préalable ce qui confirme que chaque applications est différente et que les produits camloc doivent être testé selon l'application.

We are looking to use a quarter turn solution from the 50F 900N series.
The parts we selected are 50E8-9W0AGV, 4002-SW-SS and V50R4-2-1AK7.
We are wondering how many times this setup can be used before it will fail.
Also where would it fail?

No real tests have been done on this matter, however base on previous experiences we are able to give you an estimated answer.
When repeatably opening and closing this setup, and any similar setup with the receptacle V50R4-2-1AK7, these are the results:
250 times repeatability ensured
500 times repeatability might be possible depending the environmental influences
1000 times repeatability is not possible.

As to the second part of your question,
The weakest element of any quarter turn solution, is the part that supplies the spring force to make your quarter turn operational. In the 50F 900N series the spring force is applied by the receptacles.
This implies, in your case, that when you need to replace parts, it will be the receptacle V50R4-2-1AK7.

The installation is done using a nose pliers tool.

1) place retaining ring on stud with slot aligned over left side of cross pin as shown on figure

2) snap retaining ring under cross pin using needle nose pliers then rotate retaining ring 180° until ring is over right side of cross pin as shown on figures 2 and 3

3) To complete installation, snap retaining ring over the right side of cross pin

4) completed installation is shown in figure 4

The slotted retaining washer provides the strongest way of securing a stud.  However it's labour intensive, so the moment you need to install more then 200 pieces, please look into the camloc catalogue for other alternatives.  There exist also slotted plastic retaining washers that can easily be installed with hand.

If you measure up this distance then you can calculate the stud length number

S = 16,00 +( 0,76 x stud length number) (this formula is not valid for every quarter turn, please contact us for the correct formula for your quarter turn)

However this method of reverse engineering does not give you full confidence that the length number is correct.

The best is, if you have a part, then there should be a number on the top of the stud.

nous sommes une société qui fabrique des paramoteurs drones et nous utilisons actuellement des vis 1/4 de tour Camloc sur notre appareil, que nous achetions chez un revendeur ULM.

Nous sommes actuellement en train de développer notre appareil et cela implique un changement d'épaisseur de certains éléments.

Nous avons fait un tour sur votre site ainsi que sur le site d'Anemo et nous avons trouvé le tableau des longueurs des axes de fermeture.

Vous calculez les longueurs d'axe via des numéros de longueur, malheureusement nous ne savons pas a quoi ça correspond, de notre coté nous avons des longueurs entre le sommet de la tête et le bas de la vis (longueur nommée S pour des Vis V26S01- *AGV)

Nous utilisons actuellement 2 types de vis V26S01-*AGV de longueur respective (S) de 23.3 et 27 mm et nous souhaiterions savoir a quels numéro de longueur elles correspondent dans votre tableau.

Les axes sont toujours déterminé par un numéro de longueur.
Cela veut dire que la dimension S donne une indication mais ne peut pas vous assurer le numéro correcte.

je vous conseille:
1) regarder sur la pièce que vous avez chez vous s'il y a un numéro écrit.
2) pour détérminer le numéro de l'axe, il me faut les infos suivantes:
- quel réceptacle vous utilisez
- les épaisseurs des panneaux P=? , F=?
3) dans votre cas: S correspond à la formule suivante:
S = 18,54 + (0,76 x n° de longueur)
application:
23,3 - 18,54 = 0,76 x n°longueur    5,26
27,0 - 18,54 = 0,76 x n°longueur    11,13

il est alors possible que vous avez deux axes, une avec numéro de longueur = 5 , l'autre avec 11
mais cela est à vérifier avec les points numéro 1 et 2
ceci vous donnera une confirmation complète
