Frenvis locking nuts are available at Anemo Engineering.
The Frenvis lock nuts consists of 2 pieces. The first part of the Frenvis lock nut is the nut, and above the nut is the spring ring. This spring ring makes sure that the nut brakes automatically. This process is due to the tightening of the slotted top of the lock nut from the slotted top of the Frenvis nut.
These Frenvis locking nuts are used in different mechanical applications.
The Frenvis nuts were invented in 1950 and underwent a series of tests before going on the market. These tests were done to test the:
- Tensile strength
- Consistency of braking of the Frenvis nuts after repeatedly dismantling
- Vibration resistance
Due from these tests, they found the next advantages:
1) excellent braking torque due to the spring ring even after being repeatedly dismantled
2) compensation of screw tolerances and dimensional changes due to use and temperature variations
3) economical and safe
4) different materials available (bronze, steel, stainless steel and aluminium)
The Frenvis nuts are active in a number of sectors, such as:
- Transport
- Defense organizations
- Aviation and space
